No. Holding a phone near the tag opens your page in the browser, the same as following a link. If a phone cannot read the chip, the printed QR code does the same job.
iPhone XS and newer, and Android phones with NFC — nearly every phone sold in the last few years. Anything older scans the QR code instead.
Yes. The tag itself never changes: it points at your page. Message us on WhatsApp with the new number or handle and we update the page, so the tag in your pocket is correct again within the day.
Tell us and we switch it off. From then on it shows nothing to whoever finds it, and a new tag can take its place.
Each tag comes with a one-time six-digit PIN. You enter it once when you set the tag up, which is what makes the tag yours and nobody else's. After that you never need it again.
The tag has no battery and never needs charging. The phone that taps it needs an internet connection to open your page, like any link.
